Customer Feedback Is Key to Growth
What most business owners ask themselves is “What do my customers want?” The best way to really find the answer to this question is to ask them for feedback. A great way to accomplish this is by getting their feedback through your website.
Creating a customer feedback option that is easily accessible from every page is now seen as a necessity. If a customer wants to communicate with you they now are easily able to do so.
Customers will quickly tell you what they think you are doing wrong, and if they had any problems on your website or with your products. This is great first hand information about where you can improve your business.
A great way to get feedback is with surveys. They can tell you what part of your business is lacking, and where you need improvement. Do you want to roll out new products? No problem, setting up a test trail for potential customers is much easier when you already have a feedback system in place.
There are several ways to get people to talk to you. Here are some ideas.
Make It Quick
If you ask for customer feedback, don’t have a hundred questions to ask them; make it 5 to 10 questions. Short and multiple-choice answers are the best.
Make It Easy
Make the online feedback forms easy to find and use. Creating a link in the receipt email that you send to your customers at the end of a transaction is a great way to get feedback. Have a Feedback comment box or something accessible on every page to get immediate feedback about potential problems. Now you can know exactly which page they came from and where they had the problem.
Give Them a Reason
Some customers might be more willing to give you feedback if they get a discount of some sort or an upgrade. Give them something in return for their time.
Reply Back
Take the time to reply back to as many submissions that you can. They will feel they didn’t waste their time and will have a warm feeling about you and your company since you listened.
