There are various ways to bring in more traffic to your website and one way I recently discovered is to be one of the first to break news on a topic that is trending or soon to be trending.
Many business owners have an understanding that marketing is a cost they have to budget for no matter how minimal or simplistic the efforts will be. After all, what is the point of having a great product or service that no one knows about? While traditional marketing like media and print are effective, online marketing and Search Engine Optimization continue to grow in significance and value as online business continues to grow by any measurement criteria you choose. Even with proof that web marketing is highly effective, some business owners are still hesitant to put their marketing dollars into SEO (search engine optimization) services.
One of the most notable things on Twitter is the ever-so-popular trending topics. Just one click and you can read what thousands of people are saying in regards to a topic; well, if you withstand all the spam of course. I personally have a lot of fun with Twitter’s trending topics, at least the ones I can relate to.
WordPress has many cool tools right out of the box but if you want to spice things up a little bit, there are a couple of cool plug-ins that will make your blog stand out from the crowd and help you easily to maintain every aspect of it.
Even within the small confines of Twitter (small in regards to characters per Tweet), content is King! You have 140 characters to promote your product or service to your target audience. Seems ridiculously difficult, but there are many people out there that have become professionals and get paid to do just this.
