Create a WordPress Theme
A lot of people use WordPress, so that means there’s bound to be tons of free and cool things out there to download in order to customize your WordPress install. Some examples would be plug-ins and themes, but the question is what if you don’t want to use a generic theme? What if you want to make your own theme and be different and stand out from everyone else? Well I have a solution, but be advised you should know a little bit of HTML, CSS and Photoshop. Oh yeah, and just a smidge of PHP.

Pure CSS3 Animated AT-AT Walker from Star Wars
In this article we'll quickly walk-through the process of creating a CSS3 animation of an AT-AT Walker from The Empire Strikes Back. We'll start off by reviewing some CSS3 properties that made this animation possible. Then, follow up with a list of the sections required to construct the AT-AT and the CSS3 code to move each section. I wont go too deep into the explanations of CSS3. There are various resources online to get you up to speed with CSS3.

SEO Friendly Website Structure
Very recently I was shown some websites that had aesthetically interesting designs, but I was baffled about the elements in the site structure, since they were not optimized for SEO (Search Engine Optimization). The point of creating an SEO friendly website is to ensure that those people who want to find your site can actually find it. You also want to be viewed as a credible site in the eyes of the search engines, more specifically, a very important search engine like Google. This was much clearer to me after I saw the Search Marketing industry demonstrate how they use design to achieve better results at the Pubcon in Vegas.
WordPress Design
WordPress is a great CMS (Content Management System) that allows the user to blog about their everyday life, business, and /or personal interests. Like many bloggers out there on the web, this is a form of expression and what better way to express one’s self on a blog then with an appealing theme. I personally like a nice clean and sleek theme that exudes elegance such as the fusion theme that can be found at http://dev.digitalnature.ro/fusion/wordpress/. This theme has many good qualities such as good use of white space, interactivity and a good color scheme.
