Creating a Blog and Ideas

Creating a Blog and IdeasThanks to many blog hosting sites on the web, like Blogger.com and Wordpress.com, starting a blog is incredibly easy and free. The varieties of blogs you can visit on the internet are endless. Blogs can be created for a range of purposes; internet marketing, for professional uses such as a journalist or artist, or just for keeping a daily journal. You don’t need too much effort, just an idea that you would like to share with one person or the world. Here are some quick ideas that might inspire you to start a blog today.

Family Blog Site: This is to keep your family together and up to date with special occasions, milestones, and new family developments.   Create a blog site for your family where everyone can post updates, pictures, videos or birthday parties, family vacations, and reunions. Starting a family blog can get everyone involved including the younger generation that tends to be more inclined to interact on the web. You can get very creative with it; you can post a family tree or give a special section for every member in the family, it’s like keeping a piece of history that is always accessible.

Long Distance Relationship Blog: It’s not easy staying in touch and staying motivated when you’re in a long distance relationship. Sometimes you wish you can see that person and share important moments that they can’t be there for. Create a blog where you can post pictures and daily journals, and thoughtful ideas. It’s a great way to communicate with each other and keep a timeline of your relationship. You can always go back and see how your relationship has grown.

Hobby or Special Interest Blog: Do you like to cook or like to take pictures or possibly build model cars?  Maybe you occasionally create masterpieces in the kitchen and would like to share your recipes with the world. Post your recipes on a blog site for others to try out and comment on. Who knows, you could be the next Rachel Ray! If you’re an artistic person or like to take photographs in your spare time or professionally, consider creating a blog where you can keep an online file of your art and pictures that can also double as an online portfolio that would be available to potential clients and employers. Wouldn’t it be a great idea to blog about a hobby like model cars or arts & crafts? Take pictures of your projects then post them on your blog. Invite others to post their own images and tips so you can learn from each other.

The great thing about a blog is that it’s very similar to a website but it’s a lot easier to create and maintain. It’s another means of communication that allows you to interact with people and learn from others or even market yourself. If you have any interesting ideas and uses for a blog, feel free to share or if you have created one of the types of blogs mentioned above let us know your experience. Your comments are always welcome.
