Google wave just seems to do it better. I've had gmail for a long time, Google news is my homepage with multiple binded searches all coming back to Google. I've used all of the major Social Networking sites, just wrote a thesis on them and their differences, positive/negative feedback on society. I'd like to use Google Wave to see what it's like, I'm sure it will be miles ahead of anything out right now, but I want to test it, see if it deserves early praise.

I'd love an invite, and I'd love to give feedback and input on it.

    Dear Melissa,
I am a big Google fans, and willing to try everything provided by Google. I signed up at the very beginning on Google Wave in order to get an invitation. Unfortunately, I didn't get an invite so far. I know this is just another revolutional product from Google. I will use it to communicate with my friends and collaborate with my co-workers. I will share my experiences on Internet. It will be appreciated if you can send me one. Thanks a lot in advance! — Jack

Hey I would love a Google wave invite! I love all google's products and would really enyjoy giving this one a try. I think Google Wave is gonna have a slow start, but in a year or so it most definitely will have changed the internet and the way we communicate everyday. I'm an IT major and would just like to check it out, and be one of the first to use the product the world will be sitting on in a few years.

Hey there. Congratulations on getting an invite. How are you finding the system? Do you have many people to wave at just now?

I'd love to get an invite, ever since watching the 1 hour video from Google I/O.

I have an undergrad in applied computing and a masters in design ethnography. I am keen to try the system out and really test it, to see what it can do and what it can't. Using my skill set, I hope to test out the usability other UI factors of the system.

I am also keen to develop robots for the system but until I can test it out, I can't see what functionality can be added or tried out.

The question from the start from Google, what would email look like if it were invented today? Well, I'd love to try and answer that and start waving.

    Ever hopeful
    Rob

    Hi,

I would love to try Google Wave, because I really believe it could be a good replacement of how I use the internet on a daily basis. I am a power user of computers (software engineer and computer science graduate) and I feel like I need this to make a lot of things easier, but more importantly, centralized. I mean, responding here at this site means I now have bookmarked this site and to check back regularly (I don't like RSS). But, imagine I had a Google Wave account and this site has incorporated Google Wave, I would see when more comments are added and news is published. I can forget a bookmark, but an automatic wave in my inbox would mean I will be remember that this site had something interesting for me!

I really believe Google Wave can be the replacement of many (web) applications I was waiting for, in my sub conscience. But Google can do it wrong also. I think each 'blip' needs to have some sort of edit constrains, so only the author of the blip can change it, or only specified contacts can change it. Of course, the default should be that everyone in the wave can edit it. Also, because many people will still use e-mail (in the beginning), I hope Google introduces (or another developer (me?) through a Wave robot) the possibility to e-mail from and to Wave to those old-school e-mail users.

This is what I think, just based on the information I can find on the internet, but maybe my opinion will change after using Wave for a while and therefore would love to be invited for Google Wave! Just to try it out and maybe develop something for it when I think it misses something.

    Regards,
    Arnout

I hope the invite hasn’t already been sent out, since I just stumbled upon this article! I’m a high school math teacher-in-training so I’m spending a lot of time digging deep for ways of incorporating technology into my math curriculum.
Wiki sites are already such a step up–students are able to collaborate on projects from different places because of the live platform and it seems that Google takes this live platform to a whole new level. Only through having engaging mechanisms will my students be motivated and take responsibility for their learning and I think Google Wave could really help me help them.

    Thank you,
    Molley
