Can Digg Help Toyota Do Some Damage Control?
Toyota has really had a fall from grace in recent weeks. The tremendously successful Japanese auto company has significant market share in the United States, previously with a flawless reputation for dependable cars. Companies like Toyota made buying Japanese cars a better choice than looking to our own American car companies. The torrent of car recalls, followed by weak executive statements has certainly put Toyota on the defensive; what steps can be taken to rebuild the reputation of this great car company.

The Pepsi Refresh Project
Pepsi Cola has been a long running staple in the Super Bowl commercial lineup. 23 years to be exact. But for the 2010 Super Bowl, Pepsi’s famous commercials will be M.I.A. Pepsi Co Inc is a parent company to Frito Lay, which will air a Doritos commercial, but now the cola company is focusing on the Pepsi Refresh Project, an online cause marketing campaign that will fund grants for philanthropic efforts.

Using Social Media for Relationship Marketing
Trying to acquire new customers is more costly than keeping the ones you already have. Relationship marketing is geared towards customers that are the most valuable for your business. These customers expect great customer service and want to feel like they have some kind of relationship with the company in hopes that the company will make them feel like a valued customer. In turn, these customers are usually the most loyal and will spread the word about your business. Let us hope you do not disappoint them.

Sharing Digg Submissions through Facebook Connect
Quite a few months back, I considered myself a Digg rock star. Gee, aren’t I humble? I was not the most popular user, but I had the formula down packed for getting a story on the first page. To Digg’s defense, before the shouting function was turned off, it really wasn’t too much of a challenge to rank well.

PUBCON: Internet Marketing Tools and Strategies
The Pubcon 2009 SEM Conference which was held in Vegas on November 9-14 covered many aspects of Internet Marketing. After I filtered out all the advertising / self-promotion noise, I came up with a couple of major and related developments regarding the Online Marketing Industry. Firstly, much more attention is now being paid towards revenue generation rather than hype or non-business claims of success. Also, the SEM Industry has sufficiently evolved to the point where marketers are genuinely focused on conversions, results and actual ROI.
